On Saturday, February 4th, Distance 4 Dreams had
a party at the Hangar on Campus for their sponsored wish child, Colton, and his
family. Colton and his family made the
trip to UD so that they and D4D members could meet and share their stories from
their amazing trip to Disney. It was an
amazing day for everyone and D4D members were humbled to learn what all their
work had meant for Colton and his family.
Colton’s mother shared these thoughts about D4D: “It warms our hearts to know Distance 4
Dreams chose Cole to sponsor for his Special Wish. There are so many kids that
face unimaginable health battles and to have an organization that strives to
provide for a week of inspiration and happiness is incredible. We are extremely
grateful and have told many friends and family members about D4D and encouraged
them to donate, so through your efforts, more kids can be given an experience
that will have lasting joy through the memories created. You may feel it was a small
thing to do for us, but you have no idea what it means to know that people care
and support such special kids and their families. Thank you!”
